Thrifty Threads: A Salvation Army Shopping Review

If you’re a regular reader, you know I usually only hit up the SalVal on Family Day (Wednesday) because almost everything in the store is 50% off. However, I was in the area and decided to pop in (not on a Wednesday) and snagged 5 pieces for $27.50. Enjoy the review!

American Eagle Blue Oxford $ 3

I’ve had a blue button up (preferably RL) and a chambray shirt of my hunt list for a while with no results. When I spied this blue oxford looking brand new at the Salvation Army, I knew it was the answer to both the blue button up and the chambray for which I had been searching. This top had a 50% off tag too!

American Eagle Plaid Button Up $ 6

A plaid button up was also on my search list. Plaids are so tricky—some are awful while others are excellent. This one features greens and blues, both of which I love. Can’t wait to layer this top under some of my sweaters!

Ralph Lauren Blue and White Striped Button Up $ 5

This RL top looks brand new. The Peter Pan style collar and detail at the shoulder help make this top a bit different than the average button up. Besides, where else can I girl get a Ralph Lauren blouse for 5 dollars?

Bill Blass Map Print Blouse $ 5

This was an impulse buy. It needs a little tailoring, but it’s going to be great peaking out under sweaters.

The Limited Red Pencil Skirt $ 2.50

I thrifted a bright red vintage skirt a while back, but recently realized it’s a bit too tight—Oops. This replacement skirt is a better hue of red and fits more comfortably. The 50% off tag sealed it for me.

Wilson Pleated Navy Tennis Skirt $ 6

This skirt had me right away. It’s playful and great for all seasons. I’m definitely hunting for more of them in other colors.

Outfit post tomorrow and my GW shopping trip reviewed Friday!

Thriftfully Yours,
B
